​​Assemblies:
Welcome Back Assembly
What: We assemble as a student body to welcome you back to BHS for the year. In this assembly, we will highlight a few groups in our community as well as sharing our overall message for the year. Hear presentations from ASB President Payton Major, our Principal Dr. Anne Erwin and see performances from BHS Cheer and the BHS Rhythm B's

Homecoming Assembly
What: We assembly as a student body to celebrate our Homecoming Court for the year. Students have an opportunity to nominate and elect twelve princesses from their respective classes to represent them as a Homecoming court. The assembly follows a student written story line as well as having elaborate set pieces and actors. Student performances give us a chance to highlight the musical talent that exists within our school. Homecoming Game:
What: The Homecoming game is an American high school tradition. It is typically the game that most alumni find the time to come to in order to visit their alma mater. During halftime of this game, it is one of the BHS traditions to welcome back our previous year's queen to crown the current year's Homecoming Queen. Princesses are escorted by their parents/guardians and arrive in Corvettes provided by the Rose City Corvette Club.

Football Game Themes
What: BHS football games give students a chance to have fun dressing up to different themes at each game. Students and staff get a chance to express their creativity through their attire while supporting our student athletes. Themes have included: White, Orange and Black Out games, Western Wear, America!, Greek, Camouflage. We will post game these on this page and on Social Media as they become finalized as well as posting example pictures.

Club Rush
What: During Beaver Lodge, get a chance to come see the various clubs that we have to offer. Clubs will have tables with information, sign-up sheets and representatives so that students can get as much information as possible. See our current list of clubs at: http://bit.ly/BHSclubs. If a club doesn't exist that you would like to start, fill out an application here: http://bit.ly/BHSclubapplication and return it to Mr. Sarmiento in room 254.

Homecoming Spirit Week
What: BHS Spirit Weeks give students a chance to have fun dressing up to different themes through the week. Students and staff get a chance to express their creativity through their attire for the week. Spirit Day themes have included: Pajama Day, Western Wear, Color Wars, Loggers vs Joggers, College Wear. We will post spirit weeks on this page and on Social Media as they become finalized.

Homecoming Dance​
What: We end our Homecoming festivities with a dance at the end of the week. The Homecoming Dance is a chance for students to get dressed up, dance and take pictures with friends. The cost for this dance is $15 per person. Students who are on free and reduced lunch can contact Mr. Sarmiento or their counselors about how to receive a discounted rate.

Recognition/Celebration
Assemblies:
Fall Recognition Assembly
What: At the end of the fall season, we gather as a community to recognize and celebrate excellence that has happened in the first few months of the school year. We hope to recognize All-Metro and All-State Athletes, outstanding musical and dramatic performances, as well as highlight academic achievements and out of school achievements from our students. If you know of anyone who you feel deserves to be recognized in this event, please email beavertonhigh.leadership@gmail.com to let us know about them.

BHS Talent Showcase
What: We want to get a chance to recognize and highlight the students at BHS with an event where students can showcase their talents. In collaboration with the BHS Choir, we are creating the BHS Talent Showcase where students can audition to be featured in our showcase to perform musical numbers, solos, spoken word, dance, slam poetry, etc. Auditions will be held closer to the event. So, keep your eyes and ears open to hear about when they will be held.

Awareness/Philantropic
Campaigns:
Metro League PINK Week
Date: October 8-12, 2018
Cause: Our Metro League PINK week sales and fundraising events go to benefit metavivor.org. This organization raises awareness and money for grants to research and find a cure for stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Over the past two years, we have raised over $5000 in donations for Metavivor.

BHS Respect Week
Date: November 13-16, 2018
What it is: The message of the week is to create a positive atmosphere where all students are included and supported by a community of their peers as well as staff through a week committed to kindness, unity, and awareness. We do this through events, activities and an assembly that gets information out about how we should be treating each other.

BHS Season of Giving
Date: November 19 - December 21, 2018
What it is: During the Holiday Season, BHS students/clubs/organizations/teams/families have the opportunity to adopt families in need.
