ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

At Beaverton High School, we believe that all students will graduate from BHS prepared for, confident in, and excited about the future they choose.  We believe in our four core values:

  • Learning Transforms Us

  • Community Connects Us

  • Excellence Inspires Us

  • Tradition Unites Us

Our WHY as a Leadership Program:

As the Student Leaders at Beaverton High School, we have a mission to connect with our community and build strong bonds throughout the school so that we can create events and experiences that encourage involvement.

Leadership is all about RELATIONSHIPS.

Our program consists of 50-55 students who have a desire to create and build a community within the school that helps all students find a place in our school.  We do this by dreaming, creating, planning, and executing awareness campaigns, volunteer opportunities, spirit events, assemblies, and dances. Our mission statement was created by students with an understanding of our "why" in the overall vision of the school.  We can impact the furthering of our core values by helping students find ways to be involved in activities and celebrating the work that they do.  We are always on the lookout for students who are looking to make a difference in our school.

This program requires students to be enrolled in the BHS Student Leadership class where we learn about aspects of becoming servant leaders in the community and building good character. In addition to being enrolled in the class, students have extra commitments outside of the classroom for set up/take down of events, as well as volunteer opportunities inside and outside of BHS.

Our Adviser:
